Launch exhibition gallery

Bush Life…

This exhibition is a very special combination of spirited artworks, the show itself is of particular importance to me as I have had the opportunity to work with Marc Gooch and Janet Pierce and their eclectic art collection.

Working alongside Rodney Gooch, a pioneer for Aboriginal art, and free from market influence Marc and Janet have been involved in the arts and collecting art for the past two decades or more. What excites me so much is that I know every work has been chosen for its own unique significance, whether it be inspired by the artist or the artwork itself.

This is Peta Appleyard Gallery’s first exhibition since the physical space in Alice Springs shut its doors. Working exclusively online, although a concept that I am still coming to terms with, gives the gallery an opportunity to be more creative and take risks that couldn’t be taken in the past.

The future for PAG is exciting, based on projects and collaborations culminating in inspired exhibitions. As the year progresses I intend to offer you an intimate insight into my love of Aboriginal art and art in general.

Thank you to all my supporters out there for your faith and your patience awaiting the gallery’s reemergence. I invite you to come on this journey with me, lets see where we can go…
